After Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro & Ultra 2, a new software update has been released for the T-Rex 3 smartwatch, bringing several useful fitness, navigation, and system improvements. The latest firmware version 4.6.5.2 is now reaching users in major countries with some of the new features and bug fixes to the existing ones. Some of the features have been taken from the T-Rex 3 Pro & Ultra models for this older smartwatch.
What’s New for Amazfit T-Rex 3 in 4.6.5.2 Update?
One of the biggest highlights of this update is the addition of the Lactate Threshold metric. This new feature automatically tracks data during Outdoor Running and Track Running workouts, helping users better understand their endurance levels and optimize performance. It’s a valuable addition for runners who want more advanced insights without relying on third-party tools.
Navigation and workout experience have also been improved. With this update, users can now create a “return to start” route during activities like Outdoor Running, walking, and Outdoor Cycling. This feature ensures you can easily navigate back to your starting point with guided directions, making it especially useful for long-distance or unfamiliar routes.

Amazfit has also introduced new data page layouts, giving users more flexibility in how they view workout metrics. You can now choose layouts that support up to seven or eight data fields on a single page, allowing for more detailed tracking at a glance. Additionally, the update expands the range of icons available for saved location points on maps, improving customization and clarity.
Added Bluetooth Alerts & Fixed Sleep Tracking
On the connectivity side, a new optional Bluetooth disconnection alert has been added. This notification helps users stay informed if their smartwatch loses connection with their smartphone, ensuring they don’t miss important updates or data syncing. The Bluetooth connection failure is a major issue on smartwatches, and it is good that Amazfit has tackled it.
Sleep tracking has also received attention in this update. Amazfit has optimized its sleep algorithm, improving the accuracy of detecting different sleep stages. This should provide users with more reliable sleep insights and better overall health tracking.
Lastly, there are improvements to maps and route creation tools. The update brings optimized contour lines for better terrain visualization and adjusts the deviation threshold from waypoints to 100 meters (330 feet), making route tracking more accurate and user-friendly.
The 4.6.5.2 update is rolling out slowly, so it may take some time to reach all users. Once available in your region, you can download and install it through the Zepp app.
